SUMMARY:Career Pathways User Group Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Illinois P-20 Network Career Pathways User Group provides a space for practitioners from across school districts throughout Illinois to come together and discuss the challenges with implementing the Career Pathways Endorsements for students and then to brainstorm and share the solutions to those challenges. The Career Pathways User Group is facilitated by the Illinois P-20 Network\, but group members set the agenda for each meeting. Agendas can range from formal presentations to brainstorming sessions as group members serve as expert thought partners for one another across communities. \nMembership in the Career Pathways User Group is open to all Illinois P-20 Network school districts\, and participation is free. (Administrators who will earn Administrator Academy credit for their participation in the group will have required readings and an additional fee to pay.) To participate\, simply complete this short Career Pathways User Group registration form. \nThe Illinois P-20 Network Career Pathways User Group meets online monthly; typically on the first Friday morning of the month.

DESCRIPTION:Each year\, the Illinois P-20 Network hosts meetings in the Fall and the Spring. The Spring 2021 Meeting is being planned to be held online on April 29\, 2021\, from 9 AM until 11.30 AM. Register for the Spring 2021 P-20 Network Meeting. \nThe meeting will begin with a keynote presentation by JFF Senior Advisor Stephanie Malia Krauss\, author of Making It: What Today’s Kids Need for Tomorrow’s World. \nFrom there\, there will be a diverse student panel followed by critical\, agenda-setting discussions pertaining to the following topics: \n\nLearning and Time and Place\nDiversity\, Equity\, and Inclusion as a Core Value and Central to All Processes\nGrowing and Sustaining a Diverse Workforce of Talented Educators\nAssessment and Data for Learning\nCommunity Engagement to Deepen Learning and Strengthen Communities\n\nIn these discussions\, P-20 Network members will share lessons learned from the strategies that have been implemented to support learning during the COVID-19 pandemic\, and they will discuss how to leverage these experiences to implement more effective models of learning for students of all ages as well as to identify policies and resources to support these changes.
