The Illinois P-20 Network’s Dual Credit Think Tank brings together practitioners from school districts and postsecondary institutions along with representatives from state agencies and other professional and advocacy groups to solve real and detailed challenges that persist with offering dual credit. The Dual Credit Think Tank works in partnership with the Illinois Association of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (ILACEP), communicating regularly to ensure that their work is aligned and including ILACEP leadership and members among the participants in the Dual Credit Think Tank.
The Dual Credit Think Tank is open to any interested educator and policymaker and seeks individuals with responsibility for implementing dual credit in their community and who bring an open-minded, problem-solving disposition to the work. Currently, there are approximately 120 educators from a very diverse mix of school districts, community colleges, universities, state agencies, and other organizations from across Illinois working together as part of the Dual Credit Think Tank. If you would like to become involved, please complete this short Dual Credit Think Tank New Member Enrollment Form.
While practitioner-focused and grass roots in nature, the Dual Credit Think Tank also collaborates with the state educational agencies to accomplish these ends. The Dual Credit Think Tank has grown from about 10 original participants to an important center of statewide infrastructure that is fundamentally designed for dialogue, data collection, collaborative analysis, and consensus toward action.
